Build and deepen your command of Qur’anic and classical Arabic from wherever you are.
This online program helps new and continuing students build practical command of Arabic while deepening their ability to understand Qur’anic and classical texts. Its curriculum treats Arabic as one connected language: students practice communication while learning to read and understand the texts at the heart of the Islamic tradition.
Instruction balances communication-based learning with grammar and morphology. Each level is designed around the student’s current ability, from a first foundation through more advanced reading, syntax, and expression.
The program is offered in collaboration with the University of Prince Mugrin in Madinah. Instructors are native Arabic speakers affiliated with the university’s Global Center for Arabic Study.

Whether beginning Arabic for the first time or continuing from our summer intensives, dedicated tracks provide the right starting level.
Integrated language learning
Develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing together instead of separating conversational Arabic from Qur’anic and classical Arabic.

Strengthen communication skills alongside the technical foundations of Arabic grammar (nahw) and morphology (sarf), tailored to your level.

All live classes originate from Madinah in partnership with the University of Prince Mugrin. Each cohort meets three days per week for 100 minutes per session (5 hours of live instruction weekly). Classes begin Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this program open to both beginners and continuing students?
Yes. The program offers separate tracks for new learners (Foundations), intermediate students developing their grammar and vocabulary, and continuing students ready for advanced classical texts. A placement exam after registration determines your exact cohort level.
When does the fall semester begin?
Classes begin September 20, 2026. The fall semester runs for 15 weeks with five hours of live instruction each week.
What time will classes meet?
Beginners’ 1 and Intermediate meet Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 11:30 PM–1:10 AM the next day in Mecca. Beginners’ 2 meets Sunday, Monday, and Thursday, 3:00–4:40 PM Mecca time. Advanced meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 2:00–3:40 PM Mecca time. The schedule above shows US Eastern time alongside fixed Mecca time. Choose another timezone to change only the comparison column. Local times and days adjust for your selected timezone and daylight saving time.
How do I know what level class to take?
We will send you a placement exam after registration that will determine your placement level.
How much does the program cost?
Tuition is $450 for the fall semester or $800 for the full academic year (save $100 when enrolling for the full year).

Students have access to live interactive instruction, class recordings, and student discussion channels to support your coursework.
Is there a pathway to in-person study in Madinah?
Yes. Students who complete the online program are eligible for priority enrollment and an exclusive tuition discount on the Summer Arabic Intensive in Madinah in July 2027.
